Canine Rehabilitation & Pain Management

Recognizing symptoms of pain in pets can be challenging.  Many will mask symptoms or display signs that may be confused with other behaviours or aging.  Yet we know that pain is common in pets, not only following injury, but also accompanying chronic illness and with mobility issues.

We pride ourselves on detecting and treating even subtle pain in your pet, and offer a wide array of therapies to keep your pet comfortable and happy.

Types of rehabilitation and pain management we offer:

  • Orthopedic (e.g. ruptured knee ligaments, elbow dysplasia, hip dysplasia, and amputation)
  • Neurological (e.g. spinal disk disease, fibrocartilaginous emboli, spinal trauma, radial nerve damage, wobblers disease, and degeneration of the cervical or lumbosacral spine)
  • Sports and working dog conditioning (e.g. agility, flyball, field work, obedience, racing, police or military work)
  • General conditioning and weight management

Our therapies include:

  • underwater treadmill therapy
  • laser therapy
  • therapeutic ultrasound
  • physical therapies (e.g. joint & spinal mobilizations, thermotheraphy, cryotherapy)
  • medical acupuncture
  • therapeutic massage
  • pharmacological options
